The Managing Director of Melt, Jean-Paul Blissett has worked in the leisure field for over thirty years gaining a wealth of experience.
A well-known face in the hospitality industry and a strong believer in innovation, Jean-Paul ensures each development he designs has its own special identity, relating to its market, location and climate, reflecting a sympathetic handling of styles and culture.
Jean-Paul has worked with and acted as Consultant to the most renowned names in Health and Beauty – Champneys, Greyshott Hall, Forest Mere, Starwood / Sheraton and Steiner. He is responsible for the design of many worldwide Spa and Hotel locations, including numerous high profile, award winning projects such as Six Senses Spa at Elounda Crete, Chiva-Som in Thailand, and the One Spa at the Edinburgh Sheraton Grand.
Jean-Paul judges Design Awards, and speaks regularly at Hotel & Spa Conferences and events. Educated in Beirut and England, his professional training includes the USA, UK and the Middle East. He is a qualified Architect.
Asif Iqbal is Director in charge of design for Melt Design Hub. He is responsible for the design direction, standards and management of the design process within the studio.
Asif has 20 years of experience working at a senior level in leading design practises in London. Currently he is leading the design of an extensive 25,000m2 Wellness Spa in China, and the roll out of an artisan bakery concept across the UK for a major supermarket chain.
He has led the design development of a £250 million mixed use leisure resort in Cornwall and the design and delivery of the refurbishment, extension and renovation of a £4 million Grade II listed private estate in East Sussex.
Asif always looks for the unexpected in all projects- often resulting in surprising, innovative design solutions. He prides himself on balancing great conceptual design and pragmatic delivery.
Stephan Löffler manages the studio, and technical aspects of project delivery. He has over 20 years of experience, having worked at well-known practices such as ORMS and Foster + Partners. He is currently leading the delivery of buildings for a UK hospitality and leisure hotel group, and developing construction methodologies for Care homes projects across the UK.
He studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London where he received his diploma in 1999. During his studies he worked for a variety of architectural practices including Foster + Partners and Waterman. Stephan has delivered numerous projects including two new builds for Lloyd’s, XChanging in Chatham and the major refurbishment of the old Barclays headquarters building at 20 Gracechurch Street.
Stephan’s technical knowledge coupled with extensive on-site experience ensures all Melt Design Hub’s projects are delivered to exacting, high standards.
